Y’all, here is one of my fave sessions from 2023, and look like the log was left in DRAFT form!! Here’s some amazing photos I was able to capture for Living Well Magazine for Dr. Charles Toulson. His theme is “Come Walk with Us” which I think is brilliant!
Here are a few tips for successful sessions if you are a surgeon:
WARDROBE for Headshot Sessions
Arrive with options for wardrobe. Your best fitting suit jacket is best. Bring a tie if you feel like you might want it, or a pocket square like Dr. Toulson is a nice addition. Go ahead and bring pants and work shoes too. You might want to use a full body for marketing needs!
REST UP for your Photo Session
Having sleep is important for your face and skin to look it’s best. Also HYDRATE!!
SCHEDULE as best you can
If you know your week is slammed, look for a slower week coming up soon. It’s best to not be super stressed when you come into the studio!

Working with the Parkhill team was fantastic! Great people with fabulous attitudes ready to get new headshots! Here’s how we organized the day for them….I arrived on site early, I hint 615a to start at 7, 7-830A, then a break until 4p for group photos, then more headshots 5-630P, then their event.

The night before, in your hotel room or home, set out your clothes, including accessories. Press your shirt and make sure all clothes are clean and tidy, ready for their close up! Pack a small back of your makeup that you like best to refresh.
